hand and soul
My process is grounded in craftsmanship and poetry.
each artwork stems from a poem or mythological theme which inspires the sketches.
themes of cosmological beauty, natural history, and feminine forms echo throughout the collection.
I use traditional methods to polish the paper, transfer my artwork with a porcupine quill, and then paint the details with watercolors, gaouche, or 22 karat gold.
I am grateful to have studied with master painters in several traditions.
this has guided me in blending styles, regions, and eras into my own aesthetic.
